Joe was a NEVEC trooper who ends up assisting Wayne in stopping the Frontier Project. He joined NEVEC in the hopes of ridding E.D.N. III of the Akrid, but did not realize the cost of the Frontier Project in human lives.
Joe was contacted by Yuri Solotov to locate Wayne and deliver an upgrade for Wayne's Harmonizer. This led to Joe being suspicious of his superiors when Dennis Isenberg ordered him to find Wayne as well. Joe ended up leading Wayne into a trap, but was under the impression that it was only to distract Wayne. When he found out that NEVEC wanted Wayne dead, he saved Wayne from Bandero with an anti-VS rifle. He then helped Wayne reach NEVEC's main facility, and sabotaged the Frontier System. It is not known what happened to him after the events of the first game.
How to Unlock in Lost Planet: Extreme Condition[]
PC Version
To unlock him you need to finish a mission, any mission.
In single player mode, he can only be selected during the mission selection by selecting a mission while holding down the X Controller/Z Key to select Joe.
Note that if you go back to the mission selection screen, your character selection will be reset back to default.
Character Special Abilities
- Movement Speed: 90% of Wayne
- Life: 1500. A little more resistant to damage than Wayne.
- Special: By holding down the R bumper, you can slow the game using VFX mode, a la Viewtiful Joe.
Note: All specials abilities are disabled during Multiplayer mode, making all characters equal, despite their appearances. All special abilities are only in effect/be used during the single player campaign.
In Multiplayer Mode, The characters should be available for selection on the character selection screen once you have unlocked them. Note that unlike the regular roster of characters, you can not change their textures.
