Jim's Utility Rig
Utility Rigs were massive mechanical walkers used by the first ever human colonists. These served as construction machines to repair and construct colonist hardware but also to demolish any environmental hazards. Utility Rigs were gigantic in size, dwarfing all successive Vital Suit designs and most larger Akrids were still smaller than them.
Usage[]
Utility Rigs (Rigs) are the predecessors to the Vital Suit (VS) designs which were a staple in combating the Akrid threat. However, technically they were simple construction machines, and NeoVenus Construction opposed frontally to add weapons to them, only tools.
Their large size, extreme mechanical strength and durability allowed Rig users to tackle almost any physical problem head on from environmental to large Akrids. They were used to construction, repairing, maintenance exploration and Thermal Energy harvesting tasks.
Lost Planet 3[]
In Lost Planet 3, the utility rig can be upgraded at Gale's Workshop using Specialized Components. The only known ones of Coronis Base were Jim's, an specialized one designed by himself, Renard Laroche's and Caleb Isenberg's, though the last one was heavily armed and technically was more a VS than a RIG.

RIG pilots are specialized workers, some of these independent contractors. The knowns are:
